To all RECO customers

This morning at 4:30am our main step-up transformer in our substation went offline. This is our main transformer and is critical to maintain power to the entire island. Specialists in power transformers and diagnostic equipment are on the way from the mainland at present and will be here this morning to diagnose and perform any repairs necessary. RECO engineers and technicians will be working alongside the contracted specialists in order to re-establish power to the island in the shortest time possible. An earliest estimate is 3:00pm for power to be reestablished. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers but rest assured we are doing everything in our power to resolve this major issue that occurred unexpectedly.
