Under the project \u201cKeep Helene Clean\u201d, we donated garbage recycling structures to support the control of the garbage at the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The structures contain divisions for the recycling of aluminum, plastic and solid waste, these first facilities will be located in the community of SICO and Mangrove Bight, later on the project will be expanded in the various communities of the island of St. Helene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The donation was received by Vice Mayor and representatives of the community board of Helene and leaders of SICO community, who will provide the follow-up with the proper management of the wastes that affect the marine ecosystem of the island, a community with more than 800 inhabitants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the project in its first stage, informative and educational meetings were provided to the community and schools in collaboration with the Bay Islands Ecological Conservation Association (BICA) BICA and Roatan Marine Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/recoroatan.grupoamhn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-354\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\"\/><\/figure>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Promoviendo la protecci\u00f3n ambiental en Santa Elena. Bajo el proyecto \u201cKeep Helene Clean\u201d realizamos la entrega de estructuras de reciclaje de basura para evitar la contaminaci\u00f3n de esta hermosa isla. Las estructuras contienen divisiones para el reciclaje de aluminio, pl\u00e1stico y desechos s\u00f3lidos, estas primeras instalaciones se ubicar\u00e1n en la comunidad de SICO y Mangrove Bight, y se estar\u00e1 ampliando el proyecto en las diversas comunidades de la isla de Santa Elena.
